2020 Australian Paralympic Team - Ambassador Chris Bond $1 Coloured Coin on Card

The Royal Australian Mint and the Australian Paralympic Committee shared in the support for Australia’s athletes with the release of this unique 2020 $1 Coloured Frosted Uncirculated Coin. The coin design includes a distinctly Australian colour pallet with dynamic imagery of wheelchair rugby player Chris Bond grabbing at the ball. Chris is a brilliant player and leader in Australia’s wheelchair rugby team - The Steelers.

Royal Australian Mint CEO Ross MacDiarmid announced that with the release of this coin, that we are providing a lasting tribute to the grit, determination and perseverance embedded in each Australian athlete embarking on their journey to the Olympic Games in 2021.
