Featuring two Hourglass Dolphins, this silver proof coin is struck to the Royal Australian Mint’s high relief finish. Named for its unique, black and white markings, the Hourglass Dolphin is rarely seen, making it an intriguing and exciting species. Inhabiting the chilly Antarctic waters, pods of up to 100 dolphins have been seen, although the species prefers congregating in smaller pods of about a dozen.
